Disembarking

Part of the delight of the Fireball on the waters where we sail is being able to get on the water at more stages of the tide and being able to explore further up the creeks and inlets thereby seeing more of the wildlife than we would otherwise in our ETAP.

The Round the Island race (Mersea Island) was unfortunately cancelled due to the appalling weather conditions this year 2004, but in 2003 Kate and I thoroughly enjoyed this annual event. Part of the event is depicted in the pictures. They show our boat being transported over the connecting road to the island called The Strood, by the numerous volunteers and bystanders.
